Four naxalites killed in exchange of fire in Warangal

Warangal (AP): Four Praja Pratighatna naxalites including their top leader were killed in an exchange of fire with police near Kambalpalli village in the district today (Mar 27, 2005).

The exchange of fire took place when a police party was on combing operation in the area, police said.

The police party asked the ultras to surrender. But the naxals ignored the warning and opened fire at them forcing the police to retaliate.

In the ensuing firing four naxals including a top naxal leader, who are yet to be identified, were killed, police said.

Later, the police recovered 10 kit bags and two weapons and party literature from the spot.
