'Laloo-minus' Govt will be formed in Bihar: JDU Sunday, March 27 2005 18:48 Hrs (IST) - World Time -
Bhopal:
Expressing confidence about NDA (National Democratic Alliance) forming a Government in Bihar, JDU (Janata Dal United) leader Sharad Yadav today (March 27, 2005) said a "comprehensive strategy" is being worked out to ensure its formation before the term of President's Rule expires.
"People had given a verdict against RJD (Rashtriya Janata Dal) president Laloo Yadav in Bihar. A 'Laloo-minus' Government will be formed before the President's Rule expires," Yadav told reporters.
"We are working on a comprehensive strategy for NDA to come to power in Bihar," the JDU parliamentary board president, who is touring the State to consolidate party position, claimed during his brief stay in Bhopal.
He, however, refused to give details.
Bihar was brought under President's rule on March seven as the Assembly elections had thrown up a hung Assembly in which Government formation was not possible.
On reported threats of resignations by 20 Bihar MLAs on failure of Government formation before extension of President's Rule, he said, "Who knows, it might be a part of the strategy."
Claiming that he has "trained" Laloo Prasad Yadav in politics, the JDU leader said, "I have put him where he is now. I picked him up when he (Laloo Yadav) was busy with his domestic affairs and taught him."
"I have trained over 150 persons in politics, but most of them eventually left me to satisfy their personal aspirations," Yadav claimed adding, several of them are in Madhya Pradesh and had left him due to his "difficult path" - a reason for his party not making it big in the State.
