Tamil Eelam satellite TV channel launched Monday, March 28 2005 15:55 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

As per Tamil Net report, a satellite TV station called National Television of Tamil Eelam (NTT) began beaming news to Europe from an undisclosed location in Sri Lanka's northeast from Saturday (March 26, 2005).
"The satellite channel was started yesterday (March 27, 2005) at 17.30 GMT time" sources said.
"We will beam only fifteen minutes of news everyday for the next two weeks. Thereafter our telecast time would be increased to half an hour", the NTT official said.
The NTT official added that the Paris based Tamil Television Network (TTN) will relay the broadcast to their audiences in Europe at 18.00 GMT.
NTT programs cannot be viewed in Asia now, he added.
According to him The TV channel will expand its reach to other parts of the world in due course the NTT official said.
The NTT logo of the satellite channel shows the flower, "Karthigaipoo" or Gloriosa Lily (Botanical name - Liliaceae Glory lily or Gloriosa superba), declared as National Flower of Eelam Tamils in 2003.
