Arjun Munda expands Cabinet; inducts five MLAs Tuesday, March 29 2005 18:34 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

Five legislators - two from BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party), two from JDU (Janata Dal United) besides Kamlesh Singh, who has switched over to the BJP from the NCP (Nationalist Congress Party), were today (Mar 29, 2005) sworn in as Ministers taking the strength of the Arjun Munda Cabinet in Jharkhand to eleven.
The five - Raghvar Das and Pradep Yadav, (both BJP), Radhakrishna Kishore and Ramesh Singh Munda (both JDU), besides Kamlesh Singh were sworn in by Governor Syed Sibte Razi.
The other five members of the Ministry, Sudesh Mahto, Madhu Kora, Enos Ekka, Chandra Prakash Choudhuri and Hari Narain Rai besides the Chief Minister, were sworn in earlier on March 12, a day after the nine-day Shibu Soren UPA (United Progressive Alliance) Ministry resigned.
On March 16 a faction of the NCP's Jharkhand unit led by its President and former MLA Dhruv Bhagat, to which Kamlesh Singh belongs, merged with the BJP in the presence of State BJP president Raghuvar Das.
