Chhattrapati Shivaji Terminus
New Delhi: Mumbai's Chhattrapati Shivaji Terminus has been included in UNESCO's World Heritage List.

A certificate regarding this was given by the UNESCO's officer-in-charge (New Delhi) to the chairman of the Railway Board, which has been preserving the monument, at a ceremony in New Delhi today (Mar 30, 2005).

The UNESCO included the structure, built in 1878, in the World Heritage List at its meeting at Suzhou in China in June last year.

Chhattrapati Shivaji Terminus, built in the Victorian gothic style of architecture well aided by traditional Indian themes, was designed by British architect F W Stevens.
