Shahrukh denies having any 'political ambitions'
Saturday, April 2 2005 11:31 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

Mumbai: Despite rumours that Bollywood star Shahrukh Khan was keen to join the political bandwagon, the actor has denied having any such political ambitions.

Shahrukh appears uninterested in joining politics and is keen on focusing on his career in films at the moment, sources close to him said today (April 2, 2005).

Rumours of Shahrukh joining Congress were fuelled when Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi-Vadra along with her family dropped at the actor's house for dinner on Thursday (Mar 31, 2005).

Priyanka, on a private visit, also visited the film city where the actor was shooting for his home production 'Paheli'.
