Pakistan a 'good partner' in war on terror says US
Saturday, April 2 2005 15:36 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

Washington: The United States has said that Pakistan has been a "good partner" in the war on terror and in addressing nuclear proliferation concerns.

"Pakistan has been a good partner in the global war on terrorism, and they've been a good partner in working with international community to address proliferation issues," White House Press Secretary Scott McClellan said yesterday (Apr 1, 2005).

Speaking on US-Pakistani efforts on countering proliferation and the shutting down of the AQ Khan network, he said America was closely working with Pakistan on the issue.

"One of those successes (intelligence) was our efforts to break up and shut down the A Q Khan network. That network was the world's most dangerous proliferation network, and that was a great success. And we're continuing to work closely with Pakistan and learn more information about that network."
