Prime Minister Manmohan Singh today (Apr 3, 2005) said the situation in Bihar was "under watch" as political rivals began hectic parleys to explore ways to form a Government in the State, which is under President's rule.
"The situation is under watch," Singh told reporters when asked to comment on political developments in Bihar.
Singh, who returned from a visit to Mauritius, said, "As we say that a week in politics is a very long period of time... I have been away from India only for three days but I have kept myself informed about the developments."
Earlier in Patna, JDU (Janata Dal United) leader Nitish Kumar met Lok Janashakti Party (LJP) chief Ramvilas Paswan to explore ways to form a Government in Bihar, which has been under President's Rule for nearly a month.
