British High Commissioner Michael Arther today (Apr 3, 2005) assured that his country would make timely supply of Advanced Jet Trainer 'Hawk' to India.
Pilots of Indian Air Force are currently getting training in Britain for the aircraft, Arther, who is in Jhunjhunu on a private visit, said.
Hailing Defence co-operation between Britain and India, he said that the two countries were jointly in a position to take decisions concerning important global issues.
Arther said that Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has been invited to attend meeting of G-8 Nations to be held in July this year (2005).
He said that India, which had established herself as a leading country in information technology, had the capacity to become a super power.
Describing Kashmir as a bilateral issue between India and Pakistan, he said that the two neighbouring countries should resolve the vexed issue through dialogue.
Arther, who is accompanied by his wife, said that he was very impressed by art and craft of Shekhawati hawali and their frescos, which he said were better than European frescos.
The visiting couple also had a taste of Rajasthani delicacies in their lunch.
