'Pak equally responsible for safety of passengers' Sunday, April 3 2005 17:18 Hrs (IST) - World Time -
New Delhi:
Pakistan is equally responsible for ensuring the safety of people travelling on the inaugural Srinagar-Muzaffarabad bus on April 7, in the wake of militants' threat, highly placed sources said in New Delhi today (Apr 3, 2005).
"Pakistan has as much interest as we have. If something happens, great part of blame will fall on Pakistan," the sources said.
Allaying apprehensions over the security of passengers, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh had earlier said that it was the obligation of both countries to ensure their safety.
