Manmohan to release postage stamps on Dandi March Monday, April 4 2005 13:19 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will release a set of four special postage stamps in New Delhi tomorrow (Apr 5, 2005) to commemorate the 75th Anniversary of 'Dandi March'.
The stamps, in the denomination of Rs 5 each, will be released in the presence of National Advisory Council chairperson Sonia Gandhi and Communications Minister Dayanidhi Maran, an official release said.
'Dandi March' was one of the most inspiring chapters in the history of Indian freedom struggle started by Mahatma Gandhi on March 12, 1930. The 25-day march from Sabarmati Ashram had ended on April 6.
The Prime Minister will join the Congress president on April 6 at the conclusion of the "re-enactment" of the historic march undertaken by Mahatma Gandhi at Dandi in South Gujarat.
The march was flagged off by Sonia Gandhi at Sabarmati Ashram on March 12.
