Government today (Apr 5, 2005) said all efforts are being made to ensure the security of passengers travelling on the inaugural Srinagar-Muzaffarabad bus service on April seven.
"All efforts are being made to ensure that all security measures are undertaken," External Affairs Ministry spokesman Navtej Sarna told reporters when asked about the bomb blast today along the Srinagar-Muzaffarabad road in Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Asked whether the bus will be launched on Thursday (Apr 7, 2005) as
scheduled he said, "I have no indication to the contrary".
He recalled that Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has stated that it was the solemn duty of both countries to ensure the security of passengers and their safe return home.
The Prime Minister will flag off the bus service from Srinagar.
