Srinagar: One of the passengers on the inaugural Srinagar-Muzaffarabad bus, who had dropped out citing personal reasons has gone missing since Monday (Apr 4, 2005), his relatives said in Srinagar today (Apr 6, 2005).

Haji Ghulam Ahmad Wani, a resident of Bagh-e-Mehtab on the city outskirts, had dropped out of the inaugural bus journey citing health reasons and was asked to accompany police officials to sign an undertaking on Monday, his son said.

Wani has not returned home ever since, he said adding that efforts to trace him have gone in vain as the police said they did not know where he was.

"We have filed an appeal in the court," he added.

Senior police officials repeated their ignorance of the whereabouts of Wani, but assured that they would look into the matter.
