PM flags off historic Indo-Pak bus from Srinagar

Srinagar: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh today (Apr 7, 2005) flagged off the historic Srinagar-Muzaffarbad bus service from Srinagar amidst tight security.

Twenty-one passengers, including women, were on board the two buses that will take them to the Kaman post on the Line of Control (LoC) where they will get down and cross over to Pakistan occupied Kashmir (Pok) on foot.

After crossing over, they will carry their onward journey on Pakistani buses to Muzaffarabd.
