BJP meets PM to discuss bilateral ties with China Saturday, April 9 2005 16:40 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

A Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) delegation led by former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee today (Apr 9, 2005) met Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and discussed the upcoming bilateral talks with Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao and Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf in New Delhi.
BJP president L K Advani and former External Affairs Minister Jaswant Singh accompanied Vajpayee to the meeting, in which External Affairs Minister K Natwar Singh was also present.
Advani later told reporters that the two sides discussed how the decisions taken during the tenure of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) Government with regard to relations with the two countries were being carried forward and their future prospects.
"On the dialogue process initiated by Vajpayee during his January, 2004 visit to Islamabad, the Government informed us on how it was moving forward in that direction and expressed the hope that it would continue to make progress", he said.
