The Army yesterday (Apr 8, 2005) formally communicated to former Col Anil Sehgal, who was found guilty in the Tehelka Defence expose, the punishment handed out to him by a court martial to four-year rigorous imprisonment and dismissal from the force.
Sehgal, charged with five offences under the Army Act, including Prevention of Corruption Act, unbecoming conduct acting prejudicial to good order and military discipline, was found guilty of four charges.
An Army spokesman said under military regulations, Sehgal would be kept in a prison nearest to his hometown Delhi.
