Ahead of Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf's visit to India, Hurriyat Conference yesterday (Apr 11, 2005) received an invitation from Pakistan high commission in New Delhi to attend a meeting with him on April 17.
The meeting has been fixed sometime on the afternoon of April 17, founder Chairman of the Hurriyat Conference Mirwaiz Umer Farooq told sources over the phone from Srinagar yesterday evening.
Earlier, the meeting was scheduled to be held on April 16.
A crucial meeting of Hurriyat's executive Committee and its General council will be held today (Apr 12, 2005) in Srinagar during which the agenda for discussion with Musharraf would be finalised.
Farooq said the meeting would discuss holding of talks with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh ahead of Hurriyat leaders' meeting with Musharraf.
