Govt ban on dance bars to include Mumbai also
Wednesday, April 13 2005 08:18 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

Mumbai: The Maharashtra Government yesterday (Apr 12, 2005) decided to extend the ban on dance bars to Mumbai from other parts of the State.

A decision to this effect was taken at the Cabinet meeting held yesterday, Government sources said.

The announcement in this regard is likely to be made by Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister R R Patil in the State Legislature soon, sources added.

Patil had on March 31 announced ban on dance bars across the State excluding Mumbai, for propagating obscenity, and had said a policy for dance bars in Mumbai would be announced soon.
