Patna:
Admitting that ''some mistakes'' were committed in selection of candidates, which resulted in "not so impressive" performance of his party in the Bihar Assembly elections, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) supremo Laloo Prasad today (Apr 15, 2005) said that nobody engaged in organisational work would henceforth contest elections.
"Some mistakes were definitely committed in selection of RJD nominees, which resulted in our not so impressive performance at the hustings'', he said that addressing a convention of RJD leaders and workers of Patna division called to discuss the party's performance in the Assembly elections.
Laloo also announced that to ensure decentralisation of the selection process, only recommendations from block and district units would be considered and no applications (for contesting polls) would be accepted at the State party headquarters.
