The Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) today (Apr 16, 2005) discussed the issues that are likely to figure during talks between Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf.
Emerging from an hour-long meeting chaired by the Prime Minister, Defence Minister Pranab Mukherjee told reporters that all the subjects that are likely to figure during Musharraf's visit were taken up at the meeting.
He, however, declined to elaborate.
Besides the Defence Minister, the meeting was attended by Home Minister Shivraj Patil, External Affairs Minister K Natwar Singh, National Security Adviser (NSA) M K Narayanan and Army Chief Gen J J Singh.
Singh is hosting a dinner for Musharraf, soon after his arrival in New Delhi after offering prayers at the dargah of famous Sufi saint Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti in Ajmer.
They are scheduled to have formal talks tomorrow (Apr 17, 2005).
