Hurriyat to place stand on JK to Musharraf: Geelani
Saturday, April 16 2005 10:38 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

Srinagar: Chairman of the hard line faction of Hurriyat Conference, Syed Ali Shah Geelani, yesterday (Apr 15, 20005) said that he would explain amalgam's stand on Kashmir to Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf during his meeting with him in Delhi tomorrow (Apr 17, 2005).

He would also seek an assurance from him that Islamabad would continue to support people of Kashmir, Geelani told a congregation yesterday in Baramulla, some 55 kms from Srinagar.

Spotlight: Kashmir is Not Negotiable

"We have decided to place our stand on Kashmir before Musharraf during a meeting with him on April 17," he said.

"As we have ideological similarity with Pakistan, which is supporting our right to self determination, we hope Islamabad will reassure us that it will continue to extend moral, political and diplomatic support to the people of Kashmir." Geelani said.
