Family planning 'harmful' to the nation: VHP
Saturday, April 16 2005 20:00 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

Bhopal: Terming family planning as "harmful" for the country, VHP's senior vice-president Giriraj Kishore today (Apr 16, 2005) claimed that it would contribute towards increasing the number of poor mani-fold.

Family planning has been accepted only by advanced and progressive sections but the lower strata in the society has not yet adopted it, he claimed at a press conference in Bhopal.

As a result, the number of poor people in the country would go on rising, Kishore claimed, adding that the poor would become poorer and rich turn richer.

The number of intellectuals would also go on dwindling as family planning is adopted by this category in the country, he claimed.

"If we look at family planning, it is harmful for the country from all aspects," Kishore added.
