Munda likely to expand J'khand Ministry second time
Saturday, April 16 2005 10:12 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

Ranchi: Jharkhand Chief Minister Arjun Munda is likely to expand his one-month old Ministry for the second time shortly, National Democratic Alliance (NDA) sources said last night (Apr 15, 2005).

Munda, who on March 15 had been sworn-in along with five others, expanded the Ministry for the first time on March 29 inducting five NDA legislators taking the Ministerial strength to 11.

Spotlight: Elections 2005

However, one of the Ministers, Radha Krishna Kishore of the Janata Dal United (JDU), resigned a few days ago following pressure from a couple of party legislators - leaving two posts vacant.

Munda has to thus induct two more Ministers to meet the constitutional requirement of a maximum of 12 Ministers under the 91st amendment.
