Seer case: Accused Raghu shifted to Salem prison Saturday, April 16 2005 18:10 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

R Raghu, the brother of Kanchi Junior Acharya Vijayendra Saraswathi, arrested in the Sankararaman murder case, was today (Apr 16, 2005) shifted to Salem prison from Central Prison in Chennai amidst tight security.
Police said that Raghu, who was arrested in the murder case on December 30 last and brought under Goondas act in January, was taken to the Central Prison at Salem by a van.
Police were, however, tight-lipped about the reason for this sudden change.
Raghu has also been formally arrested in the Radhakrishnan assault case.
The case, in which Kanchi Pontiff Jayendra Saraswathi is a co-accused, relates to the attack on former Kanchi Mutt associate Radhakrishnan, his wife and an attendant at his city residence on September 20, 2002.
Raghu and Mutt Manager Sunderesa Iyer were brought under the Goondas Act, under which bail cannot be granted for a year, on January 22.
