Munnabao-Khokrapar train service by Dec 31: Pak

Islamabad: Munnabao-Khokrapar train service between India and Pakistan would begin by December, Minister for Railways Shamim Haider said today (Apr 17, 2005).

The issue also figured prominently in talks between visiting President Pervez Musharraf and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in New Delhi today.

The Munnabao-Khokhrapar train service between Rajasthan and Sindh province would start by December 31, he said.

The repair work of Munnabao-Khokhrapar railway track is in progress and would be completed at a cost of Rs 1.25 billion, APP news agency quoted him as saying.

Officials said Pakistan railways have set up a special team to complete the project in time.
