NDA has support of 109 MLAs, says Sharad Yadav Monday, April 18 2005 16:44 Hrs (IST) - World Time -
Ratlam (MP) :
Janata Dal United (JDU) leader Sharad Yadav today (Apr 18, 2005) claimed it has gained support of 109 MLAs and would get the required numbers before President's rule expires in Bihar.
"We (National Democratic Alliance) have the support of 109 MLAs and are very close to the figure required for a majority. We are inching towards forming the Government in Bihar," Yadav said.
Refusing to divulge details of how the NDA would reach the magic figure, the JDU Parliamentary Board chairman said Government would be formed before the President's rule expires.
On Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) president Ramvilas Paswan's notion that Bihar Chief Minister should be a Muslim, Yadav said: We (NDA) don't bring religion into consideration on such issues. NDA has project Nitish Kumar as the Chief Ministerial candidate."
