China today (Apr 19, 2005) hailed the "consensus" reached during talks between Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf in New Delhi and hoped the two neighbours would continue their efforts to realise the objective of "peaceful co-existence and common development."
"We welcome the consensus reached by President Musharraf and Prime Minister Singh on the bilateral relations," Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Qin Gang said in Beijing.
"We sincerely hope the two nations could keep the momentum of bilateral relations so as to reach the aim and objective of peaceful co-existence and common development,"
Qin said, when asked to comment on the outcome of talks in New Delhi between Singh and Musharraf.
