Sania scales to career-best world ranking of 73

Bangalore: Indian tennis sensation Sania Mirza has jumped two places to her career-best Women's Tennis Association (WTA) Tour tennis ranking of 73.

The 18-year-old Hyderabad girl, who is the only Indian woman with a WTA title which she won at her hometown earlier this year, was placed 75th in the previous rankings.

She now has 464 points, according to the latest WTA rankings.

Lindsay Davenport of USA tops the list, followed by Russia's Maria Sharapova and French woman Amelie Mauresmo.
