Union Railway Minister Laloo Prasad's car attacked
Thursday, April 21 2005 15:03 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

Samalaya: The car of the Union Railway Minister Laloo Prasad was stoned by suspected activists of Bajarang Dal and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), after his visit to the site where Sabarmati Express had collided with a goods train today (Apr 21, 2005).

They also tried to set the car on fire, Laloo Prasad said at Vadodara airport.

Prasad also demanded imposition of President's Rule in Gujarat and sacking of Narendra Modi Government alleging that the latter was involved in the 'murderous' attack on his car when he had gone to the SSG Hospital in Vadodara to inquire about the passengers.

He said that it was a total 'failure' of the police and administrative machinery, who did not prevent the attack on his car.

Alleging that the whole attack was "planned by the Gujarat Chief Minister himself," Prasad said that Modi was waiting for an opportunity to attack him.
