Around 900 Indians imprisoned in Pakistani jails

New Delhi: Around 900 Indians are imprisoned in various jails in Pakistan, Government told the Lok Sabha yesterday (Apr 20, 2005).

Pakistan, however, acknowledges existence of only 182 such prisoners, Minister of State for External Affairs E Ahamed said in a written reply.

At least 5830 Indians are lodged in jails in several other countries, including 738 in Bangladesh, he said.
