Thursday, April 21 2005 08:36 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

New Delhi: The US yesterday (Apr 20, 2005) said it accepted all Indian passports including ones issued for 20 years, dismissing media reports to the contrary.

"The Consular Section of the Embassy of the US advises the travelling public that, contrary to recent press accounts, the US Government recognises and accepts all Indian passports, including the 20-year passport, as a valid travel document issued by the Government of India to Indian citizens," the US Embassy in New Delhi said in a statement.
