Nine militants shot dead in two encounters in JK

Srinagar: Security forces shot dead nine militants in two encounters in Baramulla and Kupwara districts of Jammu and Kashmir, a Defence spokesman said in Srinagar today (Apr 22, 2005).

Five militants were killed in a gun battle with security forces at Baki Hakar in Handwara area of Kupwara district early this morning.
