New Delhi: Criticising United Progressive Alliance (UPA) Government for targeting former Defence Minister George Fernandes, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president L K Advani today (Apr 24, 2005) accused the Centre of playing vindictive politics and warned that such a practice would harm polity and embitter public life.

"There are some people in the new Government who feel that their duty is not complete if they have not harassed Ministers in the previous Government. This politics of revenge will harm polity and embitter public life," Advani told Aaj Tak news channel.
