Laloo still hopeful to win 'number game' in Bihar Monday, April 25 2005 08:48 Hrs (IST) - World Time -
Ranchi:
Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief and Railway Minister Laloo Prasad yesterday (Apr 24, 2005) claimed that he was working on a formula to muster strength so that a RJD led Government could be installed in Bihar.
"I have said it will take one-and-a half months for the formation of Government. Fifteen days have passed, and one more month is left to ponder over," Laloo told reporters in reply to a question.
Asked what is the arithmetic he has in order to form a RJD-led dispensation, Laloo shot back "Hum kyun aap ko gannit paddhavein. Yeh to hamara kam hei (why should I teach you the arithmetic. This is our job)."
Meanwhile, former Bihar Chief Minister Jagannath Mishra told a press conference in Ranchi that Laloo's claims over Government formation was aimed at keeping his MLAs intact.
Both the leaders are in Ranchi in connection with the fodder scam case. The duo would appear before a Special CBI court in Ranchi today (Apr 25, 2005).
