New Delhi: The Centre has sought a report from Gujarat Government on the alleged attack on Railway Minister Laloo Prasad last week on the basis f which action, if warranted, would be taken, Minister of State for Home Shriprakash Jaiswal said today (Apr 25, 2005).

"An incident can be small or big. But to say that nothing has happened is not correct," he said in New Delhi.

Taking exception to release of a compact disc by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in this regard, he said, "The Home Ministry has sought a detailed report from the authorities in Gujarat and action, if required or warranted, will be taken only after studying that report".

Replying to questions, Jaiswal said the report was expected in a day or two.
