Fodder scam charges against Laloo, 69 others

Ranchi: Charges were today (Apr 25, 2005) framed against Railway Minister and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) president Laloo Prasad in connection with a case of fraudulent withdrawal of Rs 37 crore from Chaibasa treasury in 1996 in a special CBI court in Ranchi.

Laloo was the Chief Minister of undivided Bihar at that time.

Charges were also framed against former Bihar Chief Minister Jagannath Mishra, former MP Rajo Singh and 67 other accused in the case RC 68/96.

The charges were framed in the special court of CBI judge IV (CBI animal husbandry scam cases), Uma Shankar Prasad Sinha.
