Ranchi: Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) supremo and Railway Minister Laloo Prasad yesterday (Apr 24, 2005) alleged that raids on party MP Mohammad Shahabuddin's house was planted by the police when he and his family were out of village.

"This is a plan to defame Shahabuddin who was not in the house. His family was also not in the village at that time," Laloo told reporters in Ranchi.

On the recovery of arms, Laloo said it was just "tamashas" (gimmicks).

Special Task Force (STF) commandoes had raided Shahabduddin's native place at Pratappur village in Siwan district of Bihar.

Laloo is in Ranchi in connection with a fodder scam case, which would come up in the special CBI court today (Apr 25, 2005).
