Hyderabad: The CBI today (Apr 26, 2005) filed a chargesheet in TDP (Telugu Desam Party) MLA Paritala Ravi murder case in which the names of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhar Reddy's son Y S Jaganmohan Reddy and a State Minister, who had been named in an FIR filed by the slain leader's relative, do not figure.

Ravi was gunned down by some unidentified assailants near party office in Anantapur town on January 24. A day after the killing, the Chief Minister had handed over the case to the CBI saying he did want the case to be investigated by a state agency as his son's name figured in the FIR along with his Cabinet colleague and an IPS official.

In the 50-page chargesheet filed before the Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC) in Hyderabad, the CBI mentioned the name of prime accused M Surayanarayan Reddy alias Suri and 13 others, CBI sources said.

However, the names of Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, son of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, Panchayat Raj Minister J C Diwakar Reddy, senior IPS officer and Rayalseema IGP R P Meena and Bhanumathi, wife of the prime accused Suri, do not not figure in the chargesheet.

The CBI, which commenced its investigation on February 4, examined 130 people in the case before filing the chargesheet.
