BJP rejects PM's plea to end boycott of Parliament
Wednesday, April 27 2005 18:54 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

New Delhi: BJP today (Apr 27, 2005) rejected Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's plea for Opposition ending the boycott of Parliament and said "it would continue for three days" as scheduled.

"The Prime Minister telephoned me and spoke about ending the stalemate in the Parliament. But I told him that it was not the decision of a single individual but a unanimous decision taken by all members of the NDA (National Democratic Alliance)," Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Advani told reporters on the sidelines of an award ceremony in New Delhi.

The boycott of the Parliament would continue for three days, he said.

"We will meet again on Monday and decide on our future strategy," Advani said.
