Parliament logjam: Manmohan Singh speaks to Advani
Wednesday, April 27 2005 17:03 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

New Delhi: In an effort to break the impasse in Parliament, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh today (Apr 27, 2005) spoke to Leader of Opposition L K Advani and is understood to have urged him to reconsider the NDA (National Democratic Alliance)'s decision to boycott both Houses of Parliament.

BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party) sources said Singh telephoned Advani shortly after the NDA's press conference in which it accused the UPA (United Progressive Alliance) Government of adopting a "vindictive, confrontationist and hostile attitude" towards the Opposition alliance.
