'RJD will form government in Bihar in six months' Saturday, April 30 2005 19:01 Hrs (IST) - World Time -
Tiruchirapalli:
The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) would form a Government in Bihar within the next six months and there could be no alternative to it, Minister of State for Human Resource Development and senior party leader Kanti Singh said in Tiruchrapalli today (Apr 30, 2005).
"Purposeful discussions have already been initiated and the RJD is sure to form the Government, with the cooperation of the Congress and other friendly parties," she said in Tiruchirapalli.
To a query, she said that there was no question of going in for fresh polls. It would only be a waste of public money and the situation did not warrant such an exercise, she said.
To yet another question, she demanded to know why Union Railway Minister Laloo Prasad, chargesheeted in a fodder scam case, should step down. "Why should he step down?" she asked.
