Bangalore: Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) and the Oil & Natural Gas Corporation Ltd (ONGC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for wide ranging cooperation at Bangalore on Apr 29, 2005.

Ashok K Baweja, chairman of HAL and Subir Raha, CMD of ONGC, inked their interests for mutual support and new business models, HAL statement said.

ONGC, a fortune 500 company, has expressed interest to procure Dhruv helicopters for their countrywide operations. Subir Raha, in his discussions, also mentioned various other areas of cooperation both on shore and off shore involving HAL's Dhruv helicopters as well as utilising HAL' s expertise in Industrial and Marine Gas Tribune Engines, the release said.

Ashok K Baweja offered innovative support packages for Heliservices and maintenance of tribune engines of ONGC.
