Court of Inquiry begin probe into Anjali's charges Monday, May 2 2005 10:10 Hrs (IST) - World Time -
Bangalore:
The Court of Inquiry into the sexual harassment charges levelled by Indian Air Force (IAF) officer Anjali Gupta against her three superior officers today (May 2, 2005) set the process of inquiry in motion in Bangalore.
The court headed by Air Vice Marshal V M Iyer, along with four officers, including two women, began "assessing" the relevant documents, an IAF spokesman said.
The IAF had announced the Court of Inquiry on April 27 even as Gupta is separately facing court martial proceedings initiated against her on charges of indiscipline, insubordination and financial irregularities.
Gupta, working at the Aircraft Systems and Testing Establishment in Bangalore, had made the sexual harassment charges in her April 7 letter to the Chief of Air Staff and the Ministry of Defence, besides complaining to the police in Bangalore in February.
