Kolkata: A BSF Jawan shot dead two of his colleagues before shooting himself down at Ramnagar BOP tower in West Bengal's Murshidabad district today (May 2, 2005).

IGP (law and order) C Mukherjee said that preliminary investigations revealed that Ranjit Kumar Sharma shot dead two of his colleagues with his service rifle and then taking his own life by opening shots.

It was not known if the incident was a sequel to any rivalry or altercations.

Investigations have been initiated into the incident.
