PM can't repeat the same appeal to the Oppn: PMO Tuesday, May 3 2005 22:27 Hrs (IST) - World Time -
New Delhi:
In an apparent toughening of stand, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh is not expected to make a fresh appeal to the BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party)-led Opposition to end its boycott of Parliament.
"The Prime Minister cannot go on repeating the same appeal to the BJP-led Opposition asking them to come back to Parliament," Prime Minister's media advisor Sanjaya Baru told PTI tonight (May 3, 2005).
He was commenting on BJP deputy leader in Lok Sabha V K Malhotra's reported remark that the Opposition would return to Parliament if the Prime Minister makes a fresh appeal to this effect.
