No split in Congress says Vakkom Purushothaman
Tuesday, May 3 2005 14:07 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

Thiruvananthapuram: Senior Congress leader and Kerala Finance Minister, Vakkom Purushothaman today (May 3, 2005) rejected the argument that Congress in the State had split with veteran leader K Karunakaran floating a new party.

"A few persons from the party have gone out of it. It is not possible for anybody to destroy Congress," he told a press meet in Thiruvanathapuram.

Terming "groupism" in Congress as the "main villain" for the present state of affairs in the State, Purushothaman wanted congress workers to refrain from factional politics henceforth.
