Nine Iraqi soldiers killed in Baghdad car bombing
Thursday, May 5 2005 08:21 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

Baghdad: Nine Iraqi soldiers were killed and 17 people wounded in a car bomb attack in Baghdad yesterday (May 4, 2005), an Interior Ministry official said.

Six the wounded were also soldiers, the source said.

The attack took place in Dura, a restive neighbourhood in southern Baghdad where insurgents have relocated in recent months after US-Iraqi raids against their strongholds south of the capital.

The fresh car bomb came just hours after a suicide bomber struck a police recruitment centre near a Kurdish party headquarters in the northern city of Arbil.
