President Kalam visits Andaman & Nicobar islands

Port Blair: President Dr APJ Abdul Kalam arrived In Port Balir today (May 5, 2005) on a three-day visit to the Andaman and Nicobar islands.

He was received at the airport by the Let Governor Ram Kapte, Manoranjan Bhakta, MP, and secior officials. He was also given a guard of honour by the ANC command.

The President will visit the celluar jail and have interaction with school and college students today. He will meet the tribal council in Car Nicobar and other tsunami-hit islands tomorrow (May 6, 2005) and the day after.
