Friday, May 6 2005 15:15 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

Bangalore: At last the veil of jinx that covered the Rs 1300 crore Bangalore International Airport project at Devanahally near Bangalore has been uncovered with the commencement of work two days ago.

Karnataka Chief Minister N Dharam Singh today (May 6, 2005) announced at a press conference in Bangalore that "work on the airport project began two days ago. I am visiting the site for an inspection the day after", he said.

But Singh offered no explanation on why the Government kept the event on commencement of work under wraps. He however said that certain problems the project faced were only resolved few days ago.
