Jharkhand Govt indulged in horse-trading, says RJD
Friday, May 6 2005 14:24 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

New Delhi: Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) members in Lok Sabha today (May 6, 2005) vociferously protested against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led Government in Jharkhand accusing it of indulging in "horse-trading" to come to power.

The agitated members flaunted copies of a magazine report, which said the five independent MLAs were "purchased" by the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) to get majority in the State Assembly.

As the members led by Ram Kripal Yadav moved to front rows, Finance Minister P Chidambaram and other leaders persuaded them to return to their seats.

Leader of the House Pranab Mukherjee assured the members that Government will look into the news item.
